Before The Concert wants to film your band!
September 11, 2012 | News
Things are moving slow around here, and that’s just because we’re still in the beginning stages of the website & series. I’m trying to find some bands & musicians to shoot, and more importantly, where to do it.
As you can imagine, filming in New York City is going to be a bit tricky, especially if I plan on doing so outside. Parks have rules, streets have rules. Hell, I need a permit to blow my nose in New York City. I essentially wouldn’t mind filming bands inside at the venue where they are going to play, because then I wouldn’t have to worry about getting harassed by the cops. So I’m in a bit of research phase and trying to figure out places to film. Does anyone have any tips or suggestions on how I should approach filming impromptu sessions outside?
There’s so many bands I would love to film but just have to ask, and then schedule something with them. I’m also looking for bands & musicians that are local, and looking for some type of exposure. If you have a small show coming up in Hoboken, Jersey City and NYC, please let me know and we can set something up! After posting the first episode with Frank, I’m itching to get back at it but just need to find the bands and locations to do it.
If anyone is interested in being filmed or helping out with the video and audio as well, hit me up at firstname.lastname@example.org!
